Eileen Kramer Releases THE HELIOTROPIANS

In her novel "The Heliotropians" (published by Trafford Publishing), Eileen Kramer weaves a charming, original tale of time travel, tender love, turmoil, world pain, grief and wonder of creativity in old earth time.

While Marius searches for his creative genius who can teach him to build structures of light, his companions enjoy living in the exotic "shapes" of ancient namesakes. Undi almost dies for love! Isis searches desperately for Osiris. He offers his life, for world pain.

Marius leads them through the mystery house's strange light dimensions, back to Heliotrope where he and Undi retire to the tower of the house and light the purple flame of love.

"From far away in time and space the world's most famous playwrite gazed into the distance one evening from his casement window. Turning away to his writing desk he put plumed pen to paper and wrote these lines. 'See how far that little candle throws its light. So shines a good deed in a naughty world.'

In this case, the good deed, of course, was the purple flame of love."

As a longtime professional dancer, Kramer brings a thematic exploration of art as a livelihood into "The Heliotropians". She hopes the book brings readers "... enjoyment, the chance to think about the qualities of light, as well as how to make a living as an artist."

About the Author

Eileen Kramer, a native Australian, developed an appreciation of the beauty of nature as a child. More of a dreamer than a scholar, Kramer left school as soon as she could, and at 14 she began following her own interests in writing, books, knowledge and life. She studied music theory, piano and singing at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and she studied dance at the Bodenwieser School, eventually joining the Bodenwieser Company and touring Australia, New Zealand, India and South Africa, as well as performing her own dance concerts in London. Kramer also designed dance costumes for the company and made animated and dance films in New York. She is a member of the Trillium Performing Arts Collective in Lewisburg, W.V., where she choreographs and performs in the expressive style of Bodenwieser. Her other books include "Party for the Moon Man" (short stories), "Basic Shapes" (organic dress and costume design), "The Pilgrimage of Truth" (a screen play) and "Walkabout Dancer" (a memoir).
