Attending a training conservatory is a fantastic way to make connections and gain feedback from professionals in the industry. More prestigious conservatories require interested performers to audition for a spot in the program. 

Colleges and universities with musical theater programs also host conservatories over summer break. This will allow you to get an idea of what attending college for musical theater would be like. Most college summer programs even let their participants stay in dorms and live on campus. College summer programs also frequently require students to audition to be given a spot in the program.
