 “Days of our Lives,” which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and is one of the most iconic programs in the history of daytime television, has been renewed for a new season by NBC.

MC today announced that it has ordered a new late-night talk show, “Geeking Out” (Working Title). Hosted by Kevin Smith (“Comic Book Men,” “Clerks”) and Greg Grunberg (“Heroes, “Heroes Reborn” “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens”), the 30-minute show will take a timely look at pop culture through a fanboy lens and feature talk, clips, celebrity interviews and out-of-the-studio segments. The series is produced by Matador Content and The Weinstein Company in association with Bandwagon Media with Jay Peterson, Patrick Reardon, Smith and Grunberg serving as executive producers.

Hulu today announced an agreement with NBCUniversal that will make all episodes of Syfy's critically-acclaimed time-travel thriller 12 MONKEYS exclusive to the streaming service on February 24th, and adds full seasons of hit series, plus children's programming to the Hulu library.

The CW announced its midseason schedule today, including the midseason premieres of the limited seriesCONTAINMENT, the return of REIGN, the summer debut of the final season of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, plus the season finale dates for critical favorites IZOMBIE and CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND.

Netflix announced additional casting for the fan favorite series, Gilmore Girls (WT), created, written and directed by Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive produced, written and directed by Daniel Palladino. Milo Ventimiglia (Gotham), Matt Czuchry (The Good Wife), Liza Weil (How To Get Away With Murder) and Yanic Truesdale (Rumours) are set to return to their original characters in the Gilmore Girls revival on Netflix, which will include four 90-minute episodes.

THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN's popular viral segment “Carpool Karaoke” hit a new high note today with “Adele Carpool Karaoke” surpassing 67.5 million views, making it the most watched Late Night YouTube clip ever. According to data from Tubular Labs, the “Adele Carpool Karaoke” clip is also the fastest-growing Late Night clip on YouTube. Within its first five days on YouTube, the clip had generated a record breaking 42 million views. In addition, the video drove a double-digit percentage increase in subscribers to the show's YouTube Channel in that same time period.

USA Network announced a series pick-up for SHOOTER, a drama based on the best-selling Bob Lee Swagger novel by Stephen Hunter, Point of Impact, and the 2007 Paramount film starring Mark Wahlberg.  The co-production with Paramount Television and Universal Cable Productions comes from executive producers Wahlberg (“Ballers,” “Boardwalk Empire”) of Closest to the Hole Productions; Stephen Levinson (“Ballers,” “Boardwalk Empire”) of Leverage Entertainment; and Lorenzo di Bonaventura ('Transformers,' 'The Real O'Neals').  John Hlavin (“The Shield”) wrote the pilot and will also executive produce.  Simon Cellan Jones (“Bloodline”) directed the pilot.

New military-inspired competition series AMERICAN GRIT will debut Thursday, April 14 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), following the springreturn of BONES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

STARZ has announced today that Lee Majors (Do You Believe) will play the role of Brock Williams, Ash's father, and Ted Raimi ('Xena: Warrior Princess,' Spider-Man) will play the role of Ash's childhood best friend, Chet Kaminski, in the STARZ Original series 'Ash vs Evil Dead.' The series was previously renewed for a second season and will return in 2016.
