Kentucky Derby winner California Chrome leads the field as the NBC Sports Group presents 8 hours of coverage of the 139th running of the Preakness Stakes, the middle jewel of the Triple Crown. Coverage begins from Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Md., Friday at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN, and culminates with the Preakness Stakes Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

CBS announced its 2014-15 programming slate this morning. Sundance Selects announced today that the company is acquiring North American rights to LAST WEEKEND, starring Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson. The film marks the directorial debut of Tom Dolby and Tom Williams, with an ensemble cast that includes Zachary Booth (KEEP THE LIGHTS ON), Chris Mulkey (“Twin Peaks”), Joseph Cross (RUNNING WITH SCISSORS), Devon Graye (THE DISCOVERERS) and Jayma Mays (“Glee”).

Illustrating the programs aimed at capturing the Hispanic audience and the multi-platform Hispanic millennial, Joe Uva, Chairman, Hispanic Enterprises and Content, NBCUniversal, and Rubén Mendiola, President, mun2, announced the network's upcoming original programming grid and series in development. Coming to the network will be the Hispanic celebrity reality series featuring international Latin music superstar Gloria Trevi, as well international level sports including the NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series, FIFA World Cup and the 2016 games of the Summer XXXI Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro.

Award-winning executive producer/writer Rodney Barnes (The Boondocks, Everybody Hates Chris) teams up with acclaimed comics creator Alan Robert to develop an animated television series based on Robert's hit IDW Publishing graphic novel Killogy. Barnes and Robert will serve as executive producers on the series, with Barnes penning the screenplay for the pilot. Celebrities Frank Vincent (Goodfellas, Casino, The Sopranos), Marky Ramone (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, the Ramones) and Brea Grant (Heroes, Dexter), who all appeared as main characters in the graphic novel, will now lend their voices to the show. Producers Chris White (My Super Psycho Sweet 16 franchise) and Jeff Mazzola (Descent) are also on board.

On Wednesday, May 14 on NBC's TODAY, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg will give Matt Lauer a first look inside the 9/11 Museum in Lower Manhattan. The place of remembrance and reflection is dedicated to honoring a world touched by the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Bloomberg, who is chairman of the museum and spent eight years spearheading the project, will give Lauer a tour of the memorial museum that holds an unprecedented collection of over 20,000 photographs, 500 hours of footage and thousands of artifacts and interviews.
