Last night's broadcast of TELEMUNDO's 2016 Billboard Latin Music Awards “Billboard Duets” reached a cumulative audience of 5,453,000 total viewers, according to Nielsen. The star-studded show, hosted by actress and TV host Gaby Espino and “La Voz Kids” Coach Pedro Fernandez, averaged a combined audience of 2,554,000 total viewers and 1,248,000 adults 18-49 with the simulcast broadcast on TELEMUNDO and NBC Universo. The pre-show red carpet special “La Alfombra de los Premios Billboard” was the #1 Spanish-language program at 7pm, averaging 1,588,000 among total viewers and 748,000 adults 18-49.    

Hulu today announced a straight-to-series order for THE HANDMAID'S TALE, an ongoing drama series from MGM Television based on the award-winning, best-selling novel of the same name by Margaret Atwood. The series will be created, executive produced and written by Bruce Miller (THE 100) with Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears and Warren Littlefield (FARGO) serving as executive producers. Atwood will serve as Consulting Producer for the series, which will debut its first season on Hulu in 2017.

This weekend's NHL Stanley Cup Playoff coverage is highlighted by a Saturday night primetime showdown on NBC between Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby, as the Washington Capitals host the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 2 of their series at 8 p.m. ET. Saturday's coverage on NBC begins at 3 p.m. ET with Game 2 between John Tavares and the New York Islanders and Ben Bishop and the Tampa Bay Lightning, as the Lightning look to even the series at one game apiece.

 Season eight winner Sawyer Fredericks will make his return to “The Voice” on Tuesday, May 3 to perform his new Pharrell Williams-produced single, “4 Pockets,” from his new album, “A Good Storm” (Republic Records), due May 13. On the same night, the Joe Jonas-led group DNCE will perform a medley of their singles “Cake By the Ocean” and “Toothbrush.”

National Geographic Channel announced today that it will go straight to series with the first scripted series in the history of the network, the global anthology GENIUS from FOX 21 Television Studios ('Homeland,' 'The People v. O.J. Simpson'), Imagine Television ('24,' 'Empire'), OddLot Entertainment and EUE/Sokolow. The straight-to-series order will mark the first scripted series for the network, and Academy Award winner Ron Howard will direct the first episode. Each season of the anthology will dramatize the fascinating stories of the world's most brilliant innovators. The announcement was made by National Geographic Channels CEO Courteney Monroe and EVP of Scripted Development and Production Carolyn Bernstein, along with President of FOX 21 Television Studios Bert Salke.
