Victorian Opera brings Gilbert and Sullivan's classic operetta The Pirates of Penzance to the Palais Theatre from January 31 to February 6. Leading the cast are Ben Mingay as the Pirate King and Antoinette Halloran as Ruth, joined by Richard Piper as Major General Stanley, Nicholas Jones as Frederic, and Nina Korbe as Mabel. This production, directed by Stuart Maunder, showcases well-known musical numbers and features a talented ensemble of emerging artists, including 2026 Opera Prize winners.
