Chitty Chitty Bang Banghas opened in Sydney to rave reviews and the show will next open at Her Majesty's Theatre, Exhibition Street, Melbourne from 30, January 2013.  

Producer Tim Lawson says 'I could not be happier with the way Chitty has been embraced by Sydney audiences and critics alike, but most excited about bringing the show to my hometown of Melbourne and the incredible Her Majesty's Theatre. The show is an absolute joy for all ages packed with romance, comedy and adventure.'

Playing the role of Caractacus Potts will be one of Australia's best-known singers and recording artists, tenor David Hobson; the role of Truly Scrumptious will be played by one of Australia's most in-demand performers in musical theatre and television, award-winning actor Rachael Beck

The role of Baron Bomburst/Lord Scrumptious will be played by ALAN BROUGH – best known for his role on the much-loved ABC music game show Spicks & Specks.  Actress and singer JENNIFER VULETIC will play Baroness Bomburst/Miss Phillips; veteran of the Australian stage, Peter Carroll will play Grandpa Potts.  GEORGE KAPINIARIS, one of this country's best-loved comedy stars who shot to fame with Wogs out of Work will play Goran.  Versatile and accomplished performer Tyler Coppin will play Child Catcher/Junkman.

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG is directed by ROGER HODGMAN and features sets and costumes by renownEd English designer Anthony Ward.
