Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra Will Perform ROMANTIC WORLDS II in June

Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the concert “Romantic Worlds II” in June. The performance will be presented June 13, 2026, at 8 p.m. at the Teatro Colón.
The concert will feature the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of conductor Marc Albrecht, with Nelson Goerner as soloist.
The program includes the Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54 by Robert Schumann, as well as selections by Richard Wagner. Wagner works scheduled for performance are the overture to “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg,” the preludes to Acts 1 and 3 of “Lohengrin,” and the overture and Bacchanal from “Tannhäuser.”
The Teatro Colón is the main opera house in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is considered one of the ten best opera houses in the world by National Geographic, and is acoustically considered to be amongst the five best concert venues in the world.The present Colón replaced an Original Theatre which opened in 1857. Towards the end of the century it became clear that a new theatre was needed and, after a 20-year process, the present theatre opened on 25 May 1908, with Giuseppe Verdi's Aïda.
