Interview: Dancer ARUNAS MOZURAITIS On His Maiden India Visit And The Vibrant Culture Of Dance Arunas Mozuraitis is an experienced and highly motivated dancer with many years of experience in many dance styles, focusing on House, Hip-Hop and Contemporary dance. He has performed in Sweden, Slovakia, United Kingdom and Norway. He trained from Clara Bajado, Frankie J, Martin Ferretti to name a few. The dancer was recently in India for dance workshop "Kicking off diversity celebration"

The dancer held his workshop at Delhi's extensive dance studio Moving Souls in Saket.

Mozuraitis shares with BWW his Indian experience and the rich culture of dance in India.

You are involved in many dance forms. What has been the response towards Hip Hoo, House etc in India

So far, I taught only one workshop in Delhi (more to come). And I was surprised that people have quite a good amount of knowledge in house dance and hip-hop. Dancers are open to receive information and they are hungry to learn. That's the most important thing. I wish them to keep growing, never stop and dance because it feels good, not to impress someone.

Is it your first visit to India? What are your expectations?

Yes this is my first time in India and first time outside Europe. I came here without any expectations. I'm totally open to what India can give to me and I'm just going with what ever comes (go with the flow). I think this way I remain calm and can experience more in what real Indian life is about as I'm staying with local families, eating with them and communicating gives me a better view and understanding of this culture as a whole. It's beautiful!

What is the most fascinating dance experience you want to talk about

I can't name one as dance always gives me so much different feelings and happiness in life. Wherever I go it's different experience and each of them is special for me. To see people smile and move to the music to express themselves not to show of - this is fascinating!
