André Rieu's 2026 Maastricht Concert Coming to UK Cinemas
The concert will feature songs from My Fair Lady and Les Misérables.
André Rieu will bring his 2026 Maastricht Concert, Viva Maastricht!, to UK cinemas this summer. Captured live in Maastricht's Vrijthof Square, this brand-new concert will be available in cinemas across the UK for one weekend only on August 8 & 9, 2026.
The concert serves as a tribute to Rieu's hometown, where he and his Johann Strauss Orchestra first performed in Vrijthof Square 20 years ago. Transforming the setting into an open-air ballroom, the anniversary concert will feature highlights such as songs from My Fair Lady and Les Misérables, favourites like Gabriel’s Oboe, and the world-famous The Blue Danube. Joining Rieu on stage are Platin Tenors, the international sopranos, and a selection of special guest soloists.
“I am so excited to be performing our summer concerts in Maastricht for the 20th year this July! The unique atmosphere of the Vrijthof, which is the oldest square in the Netherlands, touches both heart and soul. It is fantastic that this concert will once again be shown in cinemas around the world in August, and I hope you will enjoy it as much as my orchestra and I do. Viva Maastricht!” said Rieu.
Over the past decade, André Rieu has brought his annual Maastricht concerts and festive specials to cinemas, consistently breaking box office records. He also remains one of the world’s top-selling touring artists, with albums that have topped international charts.
Presented by Piece of Magic Entertainment, tickets are now on sale for this feature-length cinema event here, which will be shown in more than 600 cinemas across the UK. Broadcaster Charlotte Hawkins (Classic FM, ITV Good Morning Britain) will offer exclusive backstage access and an interview with André, available only to cinemagoers.
