Splash Theatre to Bring ME 'N ME MATES to Cabaret Fringe 2013, June 23
Splash Theatre Company will bring ME 'N ME MATES to the 2013 Cabaret Fringe Festival, featuring Peter Michell, Chris John and Lachy Bruce.
Then the show will be touring to Port Lincoln, Renmark, Victor Harbor, Bordertown, Port Pirie and the Northern Territory (Darwin, Pine Creek, Palmerston North, Katherine and Adelaide River). ME 'N ME MATES is an Australiana performance comprising bush ballads, songs and yarns by some of Australia's best writers including Henry Lawson, Banjo Paterson and others.
The performance celebrates Australian language and humour - it is uniquely Australian. Songs, jokes, yarns, tall stories from our colourful past are spun in a relaxed atmosphere over a drink or two. It is an irreverent but always affectionate look at many of the things we hold to be Australian. Performed with energy and verve to ensure a strong audience impact and wide popular appeal, it is innovative in its own way - accessible, entertaining, thought-provoking.
