For the final concert in this popular community concert season lovers of Mozart's music will be especially well served with three members of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra together with pianist Damien Mansfield performing Mozart's 1st Piano Quartet.

Janet Anderson, Michael Robertson, and Gemma Phillips have the privilege of performing large orchestral works together on a weekly basis with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. However, revelling in the opportunity to play chamber music together in a smaller ensemble with another chamber music enthusiast, pianist Damien Mansfield, they will present Mozart's 1st Piano quartet in G minor; one of the first pieces ever composed for that instrumentation.

Leading today's ensemble is Janet Anderson an award winning violinist who has been a member of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra since 2007.

In 2005 Janet won the award for the best performance of an Australian Composition in the finals of the Kendall National Violin Competition and was a finalist with the Fyra String Quartet (FSQ) in the Australian Chamber Music Competition. Janet has studied and toured in many countries throughout the world including Canada, Europe and Australia. In 2009 she toured with the Australian Chamber Orchestra and ACO2. She continues performing with ASO, ACO2, Le Monde Ensemble, Kegelstatt Ensemble and various chamber music groups.

Pianist Damien Mansfield has performed in several states of Australia and the USA, in England, the Netherlands and Canada. He recently performed at Concerts at Kent Town with bass baritone Robert Dawe, and with members of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra (ASO) for the Friends of the ASO.

Presenting the final organ recital of this season's Concerts at Kent Town will be Andrew Ampt who has been an organist for numerous Lutheran churches around Adelaide since commencing regular Sunday playing in 1974.

He is currently Head Organist for the Bethlehem Lutheran church in Flinders Street in the city. His particular interest is with the art of hymn playing, including the use of free harmonisations for last verses. He has recently retired from being a finance analyst for Hewlett-Packard and lives with wife Carol and cat Jack.

Tickets for this popular series are still only $10 and includes afternoon tea. Tickets at door.
