Evenings at Elder Hall presents three choirs in concert in "Homage", a celebration of the centenary of Benjamin Britten (1913 - 1976). Featuring Bella Voce, Timothy Marks Director; Adelaide Voices, Christie Anderson Director; and the Elder Conservatorium Chorale, Carl Crossin Director. The concert is set for Elder Hall, University of Adelaide at 6.30pm tonight, 21 September 2013. Tickets: Adults $28, Concession $22, Students $18. With this evening's concert at the Elder Hall Adelaide joins a worldwide chorus in celebration of the centenary of the birth of British composer Benjamin Britten.

The magnificent voices of three of Adelaide's most renowned choirs, Adelaide Voices, Bella Voce, and the Elder Conservatorium Chorale will each perform one of Britten's works in their homage to one of the greatest composers of the 20th century.

Adelaide Voices was formed in 2002 and has been directed by Christie Anderson since 2007. Christie teaches Choral Conducting at the Elder Conservatorium, and has been a core member of Adelaide Chamber Singers for many years.

Formed in 2002 Bella Voce is the Elder Conservatorium of Music's women's choir.Timothy Marks - a well-known conductor and ensemble singer in Adelaide - is Conductor of Bella Voce. He is a member of Adelaide Chamber Singers.

The Elder Conservatorium Chorale draws its membership from the Elder Conservatorium of Music, the University of Adelaide at large, and from the wider community. The Chorale has performed a wide variety of major choral works, both unaccompanied and with orchestra.

The conductor of the Elder Conservatorium Chorale is Carl Crossin, OAM. Carl is Director of the Elder Conservatorium and Head of Choral Music, a position he has held since 2002 when he initiated the current choral program.

He is also Artistic Director and Conductor of Adelaide Chamber which recently returned from their highly successful tour across Europe where they was crowned 'Choir of the World at Llangollen 2013' after competing at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales. They also took out the Grand Prize for Best Choir in the international choral and sacred music festival in Rome in July.
