Corinthian Singers of Adelaide Announce 2017 Christmas Season

This year the Corinthian Singers celebrate the Christmas season with their traditional annual rendition of the glorious Handel's MESSIAH on Sunday 3 December at 6:30pm at St John's Church, Halifax Street, Adelaide, followed by two performances of LULLABY a program of beautiful Christmas songs and carols on 9:00 pm Friday 15 December 2017 and 7:30 pm Wednesday 20 December 2017. The Corinthians' performance of the ever popular oratorio by Handel gives the audience the opportunity to bring along their scores for MESSIAH and sing the choruses with this acclaimed choir.

The people's MESSIAH is a wonderfully uplifting event which audience members and choir enjoy immensely, when everyone is encouraged to come along, even if they don't want to sing but just enjoy the occasion.

For an antidote to a year of politics and bad news join the Corinthian Singers in gentle celebration of a traditional Christmas with LULLABY, a program of beautiful Christmas songs to soothe the child in us all.

There will be two performances of LULLABY at St Johns Church, the first at 9.00 pm Friday 15 and the second at 7:30 pm Wednesday 20 December.

LULLABY'S program will include the lilting Lully, Lulla, thou little tiny child by Kenneth Leighton, the tender A spotless Rose by Herbert Howells and the more rousing A babe is born by William Mathias. The program even includes Lullaby, Goodnight My Angel by Billy Joel.

Of course the concert would not be the same without the audience joining together with the choir singing carols in a joyful celebration of a traditional Christmas.
