The Dress Show Presents Vignettes Based On Cultural Experience 5/20 At Prop Thtr

By:

The Dress Show is a performance inspired by the contemporary rituals that mark a woman's life and the dresses that come to emblemize those experiences. Using dresses as cultural artifacts and the starting point of our work the company created vignettes based on their experiences and the stories of women interviewed for the piece. The result blurs the line between a sketch comedy like theatricality and performance art creating an evening of unique quirky theatre.

Tues. May 19 and Wed. May 20
8pm
Prop Thtr 3502 N. Elston, Chicago
$15 or Pay What You Can
Tickets available at the door.

The show is produced in association with The Prop Thtr. The show is partially supported by a Grant from the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in the Arts Committee at Northwestern University.
