The play imagines the personalities behind their public, camera-ready smiles, revealing the nerve-wracking and often comic side of being married to 'big babies with big egos' who rely on them for indispensable support. Ultimately, the play portrays how these women are transformed into a team-within-a-team, collectively enduring by tradition and necessity their husbands' pressures, frailities, superstitions, disappointments and philanderings. Group Theatre Too will present the play's New York premiere August 29 to September 15 at Hudson Guild Theater, 441 West 26th Street.
