Theater Ten Ten announces its fall mainstage production for the 2009-2010 season, George Bernard Shaw's comedy 'Arms and The Man.' The show will run four weeks, October 8th through November 1st, 2009. Press is invited beginning Friday, October 9th.

Rylance Replaces Brier In Complicite's Revival Of Beckett's ENDGAME, Previews 2 Oct, Opens 15 Oct

Olivier and Tony Award-winning actor Mark Rylance joins the company of Simon McBurney's production of Endgame as Hamm, taking over the role from Richard Briers. Simon McBurney will now play the role of Clov for the duration of the run. Rylance and McBurney will be joined by Miriam Margolyes as previously announced, and Tom Hickey as Nagg. To facilitate the cast changes, the production will now open on 15 October, with previews from 2 October, and run until 5 December.

Colony Theatre to Hold West Coast Premiere of BETTER ANGELS

The Colony Theatre Company presents the third production of its 35th anniversary season, the West Coast Premiere of BETTER ANGELS, written by Wayne Peter Liebman and directed by Dan Bonnell. BETTER ANGELS will preview on Wednesday, October 21; Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23 at 8:00pm and will open on Saturday, October 24 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, November 22 at The Colony Theatre.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) announces the final show of its 2008-09 season: Edward Albee's At Home at the Zoo, staged by acclaimed director Rebecca Bayla Taichman (world premieres of Theresa Rebeck's The Scene and Mauritius and Sarah Ruhl's Dead Man's Cell Phone). This new spellbinder by the master playwright who also penned Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and A.C.T.'s The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?, is a meticulously calibrated and dangerously brutal look at relationships intimate and unexpected. The story opens with Peter, a tweedy book editor, and his wife, Ann, whose everyday conversation takes an unexpected turn into dangerously personal territory. It's the kind of conversation that can drive a husband out for a walk-to Central Park, where Jerry, a desperate outcast, awaits. An unforgettable pairing of Albee's original The Zoo Story with a freshly penned prequel, At Home at the Zoo (formerly titled Peter and Jerry) bares its teeth to threaten the delicately balanced world its characters inhabit. Using electricified puppets, small-scale pyrotechnics and the music of Shooby Taylor the Human Horn, among others, The Colonists is a rite of spring to delight children and adults alike.
