Dale Head releases his latest album, Swing on the Rocks (MindWinder Records) on July 13, 2018, and expands the Great American Songbook with 14 classic rock songs re-imagined in an innovative big band format. Swing on the Rocks explores 'soundscapes' in a nod back to the progressive rock of the 1970s. Headphone icons on the album notes indicate where these features enhance the listener's experience.

Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum, its own history firmly rooted in the McCarthy-era Hollywood blacklist - when actor Will Geer and his wife, Herta Ware, created the theater as a haven for blacklisted actors - opens a new production of Miller's modern classic onJune 30. Theatricum artistic director Ellen Geer, Will's daughter, is at the helm, with family members Thad Geer,Willow Geer and Melora Marshall featured in the cast.

Day two of the Longines Masters of New York featured a full day of action-packed competition, culminating with the Longines Speed Challenge, regarded as the fastest show jumping class in the world. Leading into the Friday night competition, Longines Ambassador of Elegance and Co-founder of The Golden Hat Foundation Kate Winslet met local New York children with Autism and accepted a check on behalf of The Golden Hat Foundation, the Longines Masters of New York official nonprofit partner. The Longines Masters of New York also honored Long Island military this evening with a procession by the Marine Corps color guard and mounted police, and EEM received an official citation issued by Nassau County officials, welcoming the Longines Masters Series to New York.

Lead Effect Productions has announced the world premiere comedy Big Shot by Joe Napoli Jr. and John Scacco at the Dorie Theatre at The Complex in Hollywood. Directed by Stan Zimmerman, there will be one preview performance on March 2 at 8pm and opening is set for Saturday, March 3, at 8pm. The limited engagement will run through March 17 only.

The cast and creative team is complete for Objects in the Mirror, a Goodman Theatre-commissioned world premiere by Charles Smith. Directed by Resident Director Chuck Smith, Objects in the Mirror is inspired by the playwright's real-life friendship with a Liberian refugee-turned-actor, Shedrick Yarkpai-portrayed by Daniel Kyri, in his Goodman debut. The production was developed through the 2015 New Stages festival and features a 5-member cast who brings to life the gripping account of one Liberian refugee's attempts to find peace by exposing a potentially dangerous lifelong secret. Objects in the Mirror appears April 29 through June 4 (opening night is May 8) in the Albert Theatre. 47th Annual Next Generation Jazz Festival Comes to Monterey This Spring

The 47th Annual Next Generation Jazz Festival Presented by Monterey Jazz Festival takes place March 31- April 2, 2017 in downtown Monterey. The weekend-long event includes big bands, combos, vocal ensembles, and individual musicians vying for a spot on the stages of the 60th Annual Monterey Jazz Festival.
