The Neil Simon Plays - Two of Broadway's best-loved masterpieces from America's most treasured playwright, BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and BROADWAY BOUND will be playing in repertory at the Nederlander Theatre. Please note that a separate ticket must be purchased for EACH production.

In BROADWAY BOUND, it's the late 1940s and Eugene and Stanley have started their careers as professional comedy writers. But when the brothers use their home life in Brighton Beach as inspiration for a radio comedy skit, the Jerome family may never be the same.

BROADWAY BOUND stars Laurie Metcalf (Kate Jerome) and Dennis Boutsikaris (Jack Jerome) with Santino Fontana (Stanley Jerome), Jessica Hecht (Blanche), Josh Grisetti (Eugene Jerome) and Allan Miller (Ben).

Previews for the world premiere of The First Wives Club - A New Musical are now set to begin July 17, 2009. The schedule was changed to accommodate a revised rehearsal/technical schedule.

The New York Times reports that the upcoming Goodman Theater double bill of Eugene O'Neill's 'Hughie' and Samuel Beckett's 'Krapp's Last Tape,' both starring Brian Dennehy and directed by Robert Falls and Canadian director Jennifer Tarver and will come to Broadway. The two plays had been expected on Broadway next season, but now it's official according to The Times. The production, which will open first at the Goodman Theater in Chicago in January, will start performances on Broadway the week of April 12, 2010, at a theater to be announced.

Planet Connections Theater Festivity will premiere in June 2009 as a new festival designed to promote awareness in the theatrical community about social and cultural issues. Formed by two Spotlight On Festival alums, Glory Bowen and Frank Calo, the festival will explore using theater as a tool for social change while connecting artists with new audiences in fun theatrical environment. The goals of the festival are to inspire people to get involved and fight for world causes.

Goodman Theatre Presents BOLEROS FOR THE DISENCHANTED 6/20 - 7/26

Goodman Theatre proudly concludes its 2008/2009 season with José Rivera's newest play, Boleros for the Disenchanted, 'an epic study of wedded life that is simply?and not so simply?marvelous' (Variety). A true love story inspired by Rivera's parents' courtship and eventual migration from Puerto Rico to Alabama, Boleros for the Disenchanted makes its Chicago premiere directed by Henry Godinez?the Goodman's Resident Artistic Associate who was named 2008 Latino of the Year by the Chicago Latino Network. Chicago actors Elizabeth Ledo and Sandra Marquez command the stage in the role of Flora, based on Rivera's mother, at various points in her life. Godinez's cast also includes Liza Fernandez, Joe Minoso, Rene Rivera and Felix Solis. Boleros for the Disenchanted is performed in English in the Albert Theatre June 20 ? July 26, 2009. 'Queen of All Media' Perez Hilton has let slip on his twitter that sources have revealed to him the news that Nolan Gerard Funk, the star of the Nickelodeon movie 'Spectacular!' has won a role in Roundabout's upcoming production of 'Bye Bye Birdie'. The next question is, has he been cast as Hugo Peabody or Conrad Birdie? As a budding teen idol, he could essay both characters will relative ease.
