Film Society of Lincoln Center Announces 41st DANCE ON CAMERA

The Film Society of Lincoln Center and Dance Films Association today announced the lineup for the 41st edition of Dance on Camera. Taking place February 1-5, the dance-centric film festival returns to the Film Society for the 17th consecutive year with an exciting and diverse array of dance films, including several premieres.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College launches its 2012-2013 American Classics series with The Ultimate Sounds of Doo-Wop and Street Corner Harmony, a concert of chart-topping artists including Fred Parris and The Satins ('In the Still of the Night'), The Legendary Teenagers ('Why Do Fools Fall in Love'), The Chiffons with original lead singer Judy Mann ('One Fine Day'), The Original Tymes ('So Much In Love'), and Barbara Harris and the Toys ('Lovers Concerto'), hosted by WCBS-FM 101.1's 'Broadway' Bill Lee tonight, November 17 at 8pm. As part of the current three-play Royal Court at the Duke of York's Season with Posh by Laura Wade, Jumpy by April De Angelis and Constellations by Nick Payne, four of the UK's leading playwrights will direct one of their all-time favourite plays in a series of one-off afternoon readings from 29 June at the Duke of York's Theatre in a special event supported by The Ambassador Theatre Group. Nick Payne, Polly Stenham, Roy Williams and David Eldridge will select their favourite plays and will have less than two days to bring their vision to life with a full cast to be announced for staged readings on Friday afternoons this summer.
