The Painted Bride Art Center presents the World Premiere of Ain Gordon and Nadine Patterson's Place Philadelphia in 2013. The three-time Obie Winner, Gordon, is presenting his one-woman show, In This Place… Thursday, March 8-Saturday, March 10 at 8 p.m. at the Painted Bride Arts Center, 230 Vine Street. On Monday, February 20, 2012, Mike Daisey announced that his smash hit monologue The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs (TAESJ) would be made available to the public as an "open-source, royalty-free" work, downloadable from his website and available to be adapted and performed by "anyone, anytime, anywhere." Five days following the announcement, A Red Orchid Theatre is proud to announce the Chicago Premiere of Daisey's piece in a one-night-only benefit performance featuring AROT Ensemble Member Lance Baker on Monday, March 5th, 2012 at 8:00PM.

Larry Josephson has been making trouble on the radio since 1966, starting as WBAI's infamous grumpy morning man. The competition, John Gambling and his ilk, were pushing oleaginous treacle on morning radio. Larry broke all the rules of radio: he ate his breakfast on the air, insulted listeners at a time when Howard Stern was crawling around Levittown in leather diapers. He told the story of his life on the radio, or as much as the FCC and the libel laws would allow.

BAC Announces Its Spring 2012 Season

The Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) ihas announced the spring 2012 performance season, which runs January 12 to June 17 and features a dynamic roster of international artists from the worlds of theater, dance, music, and film. The program includes several New York, U.S., and World Premieres, works developed in residence at BAC, and presentations made especially to be performed on BAC's stages.
