Last night two-time Tony Award-winner Viola Davis made history as the first African-American to win an Emmy in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category. She was recognized for her role as the brilliant attorney and professor Annalise Keating on the Shonda Rhimes drama HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER. In addition to her Emmy and Tonys, Davis has won three Drama Desks and three SAG Awards. During her acceptance speech, Davis quoted Harriet Tubman and talked about breaking boundaries and redefining what Hollywood thinks of as beautiful.

So, this fall, I decided that as part of my 366 Article in 366 Days Challenge, that I would just do suck it up and start a podcast. It's been over a decade since I interned at a sports radio station in Columbus, Ohio, and I am only moderately tech-savvy for someone straddling the line between being a part of Generation X and the Millennials. However, despite these obvious obstacles, I decided just dive in and figure it out as I go along, which has kind of been standard operating procedure for most of my life.

True story; back in January, I had an idea to talk to insanely talented Broadway stars about the TV shows that they obsess over; after all they have to have as many guilty pleasures as the rest of us, right? Then, after they answered the questions, the Broadway star would suggest another Broadway star to receive the same ridiculous TV-related treatment. Well, between Brynn starring in HONEYMOON, and me taking on all of the advertising responsibilities I mentioned yesterday, we never were able to make it happen... until now! And I have to tell you, Brynn's answers are well worth the wait!
