The second season of Syfy's hit drama series Being Human will premiere on Monday, January 16 at 9PM, it was announced today. The season will consist of 13 new episodes and anchor Syfy's 'Powerful Mondays' programming block. Being Human stars Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath and Sam Huntington.

In continuing with its yearly tradition of delivering the ultimate fan experience at Comic-Con - and winding down the convention with the hottest party of the entire weekend - Syfy has unveiled its plans for participation at Comic-Con 2011.

Dichen Lachman is joining the cast of Syfy's hit original drama series Being Human, produced by Muse Entertainment.

Continuing Syfy's 2011 ratings momentum, Being Human became the channel's most successful new winter scripted series since Battlestar Galactica in 2005, entrancing 1.66 million total viewers, 1.0 million Adults 25-54 and 944,000 Adults 18-49 during the season one finale Monday, April 11, at 9PM (ET/PT).

Syfy's new original drama series Being Human got off to a supernatural start Monday night at 9:00PM ET/PT with a 1.6 HH rating and 1.961 million total viewers (1.005 million Adults 18-49 and 984,000 Adults 25-54), and becoming the channel's most watched scripted winter series launch since 2005.

To support the premiere of its new original scripted series Being Human, premiering Monday, January 17, at 9PM (ET/PT), Syfy has developed a diverse nationwide marketing campaign called Being Human is Harder Than it Looks.

Syfy's all-new drama series Being Human, starring Sam Witwer (Smallville, Battlestar Galactica), Meaghan Rath (The Assistants), Sam Huntington (Cavemen, Superman Returns) and Mark Pellegrino (Lost, Supernatural) has commenced production in Montreal, Canada. Adam Kane (The Mentalist, Heroes) is Director and Co-Executive Producer with Executive Producer Michael Prupas (The Kennedys, Pillars of the Earth) and husband and wife Executive Producers/Writers Jeremy Carver (Supernatural) and Anna Fricke (Men in Trees, Everwood). Muse Entertainment is producing 13 1-hour episodes for Syfy.
