Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, has added Allison Guinn (On The Town), Emma Stratton (Bullets Over Broadway), Jeff Nominee Nathan Gardner (Death for Five Voices), Brad Foster Reinking (Shrek), and Christopher Lee Viljoen (54 Sings Chess) to their cast of BROADWAY GOES TO THE MOVIES on August 22nd, 2016.

My Name is Asher Lev, adapted by Aaron Posner from the novel by Chaim Potok, follows the journey of a young painter torn between his Hassidic upbringing and his desperate need to fulfill his artistic promise. When his artistic genius threatens to destroy his relationship with his parents and community, young Asher realizes he must make a difficult choice between art and faith. Aaron Posner's stirring adaptation of a modern classic presented by Palisades Players SummerStage and a professional cast, made up entirely of Actors Equity members, present a heartbreaking and triumphant vision of what it means to be an artist in a world dominated by faith and tradition.

FACING EAST, based on a play by CAROL LYNN PEARSON follows an upstanding Mormon couple faced with the suicide of their gay son. When they unexpectedly meet their son's partner they must face a reality long ignored, and reconcile feelings with beliefs. After workshops in Chicago and Dallas the show had a developmental charity concert at the Lyric Theatre in London, England starring several West End artists, directed by Ryan Mooney. This world premiere is the first time the show will receive a full production, with a Canadian cast and production team, and is the 40th production for FIGHTING CHANCE PRODUCTIONS.

Prospect Theater Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Cara Reichel and Managing Director Melissa Huber, has announced that due to a scheduling conflict Nathan Gardner will replace the previously announced Jason Gotay in the principal role of Carlo Gesualdo for the premiere of Death for Five Voices from March 24 - April 17, at The Sheen Center, 18 Bleecker Street, NYC.

Peregrine Theatre Ensemble will be performing its entire 2015 season in the old high school auditorium at Provincetown Schools, 12 Winslow Street in Provincetown, MA. This allows Peregrine to transform the space into Carrie's high school in Chamberlain, Maine. During this interactive theatrical experience they invite the audience to attend prom and fully commit to the world of CARRIE the musical for a night they will never forget.

Now making its UK premiere for one night only, this is one of the first opportunities to hear the soaring new score of this emerging musical following workshops in Dallas and Chicago and ahead of its first fully staged production in 2016. With a book by John August and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, BIG FISH is based on the Columbia Pictures film screenplay of the same name by John August and Daniel Wallace's 1998 novel, Big Fish: A Novel of Mythical Proportions. As yet another sign of the Chicago area's dominance in the world of the American musical theater, I need only point to the fact that it is undoubtedly the only market that has hosted three different productions of the Andrew Lippa musical "Big Fish," at three different tiers of the industry and three different geographical locations.
