Performance Network Theatre invites artists and students of all skill levels to participate in their 2013 - 2014 Curriculum by offering a wide range of courses taught by the industry's top players beginning on October 12 with Acting for the Camera with award winning writer/director Christina Morales Hemenway, as the instructor.

Sundance Institute today announced the participants for its annual Creative Producing Labs and Creative Producing Summit, both held the week of July 29 at the Sundance Resort in Sundance, Utah. These activities are part of the Institute's year-round Creative Producing Initiative, which encompasses a series of Labs, Fellowships and other events that support independent producers.

On display during First Fridays from May through July 2013, The Proposition Tent is a laboratory and social space that features a range of compelling ideas rooted in local Philadelphia neighborhoods and the international stage. Shaking up the format for what an art show can be and who can be in it, The Proposition Tent isn't just an art show - it is a convivial space for the communication of ideas. For each event, four sets of participants make their propositions: a local artist, an international artist, a local business or nonprofit, and the words of a thinker/philosopher.

Sundance Institute and India's Mahindra Group today announced the four winners of the 2013 Sundance Institute | Mahindra Global Filmmaking Awards, in recognition and support of emerging independent filmmakers from around the world. The Screen Actors Guild Foundation in partnership with Film Independent, the Independent Filmmaker Project, and the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway are teaming up again to host the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards New York Screening Series from January 16 to February 6.

Sundance Institute today announced the appointment of Paul Federbush to International Director, Feature Film Program (FFP). Federbush will oversee the international activities of the Institute's Feature Film Program. Federbush will begin September 24, reporting to Michelle Satter, Founding Director, Feature Film Program.
