Tony Award winner Idina Menzel stopped by last night's LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN and performed 'You Learn To Live Without,' from the Broadway musical, 'If/Then.'

Tonight, May 8th, If/Then star Idina Menzel will appear on CBS's Late Show with David Letterman to perform a number from the the new Broadway musical. Actor James Franco will also appear as a guest on the broadcast.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced that its 2014 Spring Gala will honor Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff and President of The Dodgers Michael David. Both are founding partners of Dodger Properties, which is responsible for over 150 productions of some of the most successful theatre on Broadway (56 Tony Awards), Off-Broadway and internationally. The gala will take place on Monday, May 12 at The Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel, beginning at 6:30pm.

On Thursday, May 8th, IF/THEN star Idina Menzel will appear on CBS's Late Show with David Letterman to perform a number from the the new Broadway musical.

Second Stage Theatre's 35th Anniversary Gala celebration just honored Carole Rothman, Artistic Director of Second StageTheatre, for her 35 years of supporting new works and artistic development in New York City theatre. This year's rock n' roll themed gala was attended by over 250 Second Stage Alumni who have worked at Second Stage Theatre during the past 35 years, from Brooke Adams and Polly Draper who appeared in the very first season, to cast members from the currently running The Substance of Fire and the upcoming American Hero which will make its New York premiere this summer at Second Stage Uptown. A reading of WE FOXES, a new musical by Ryan Scott Oliver - whose, JASPER IN DEADLAND recently concluded a sold-out Off-Broadway run - will be held on Monday, May 5th at the Experimental Theatre on the San Diego State University campus at 7:30pm.

Idina Menzel, who just received a Tony nomination as Best Lead Actress in a Musical for her performance in Broadway's IF/THEN, chatted with ET yesterday about returning to Broadway and the many recent successes in her career.

Alley Theatre Artistic Director Gregory Boyd announces the cast and creative team for recent Tony Award-winning comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Appearing in titles roles are Resident Actor Jeffrey Bean as Vanya, Sharon Lockwood returning to the Alley as Sonia, Alley Artist Josie de Guzman returning as Masha, and Resident Actor Jay Sullivan as Spike. Rounding out the cast and making their Alley debuts are Rachael Holmes as Cassandra and Sarah Nealis as Nina. Jonathan Moscone, Artistic Director of California Shakespeare Theater, helms the production and returns after having directed the Alley's 2011 production of Amadeus.

New York Stage and Film and Vassar College, this summer celebrating the 30th year of their Powerhouse Theater collaboration, have announced the four workshops-two musicals, two plays-that will be a part of the upcoming 30th Powerhouse Theater Season, running from June 20 to July 27 at Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, New York).
