Normal Ave Productions opens their 2018 season exploring the ageless question: how do different people deal with grief while finding the strength to move on? The company hopes their Winter mainstage production, The Dream of the Burning Boy, by David West Read, will allow the audience to begin a dialogue on coping with death and grief. Death itself is difficult to make sense of, but as Read writes so eloquently in scene 2, 'you can try to make sense of how people are feeling about it.'

The play also examines the human tendency to make wishes, especially in moments when we feel powerless. It all takes place in the shadow of a giant hourglass. Nevertheless, the universe breathes on.
