After the critical success of its recent Lucille Lortel Award winning Off-Broadway production of Martin Moran's All the Rage (produced with piece by piece productions), acclaimed new play company Rising Phoenix Repertory presents the world premiere of RPR Company Member Sarah Shaefer's new play F**king Immaculate. Building on the company's successful downtown site-specific play series Cino Nights, Rising Phoenix Rep is attempting to grow and expand on its innovative development/production process for new plays, building in a longer rehearsal period and focusing on an even more intimate and immersive experience for artists and audiences alike. The plays will be staged in an Upper West Side apartment to be disclosed to patrons who make reservations in advance. Seating is strictly limited to ten people per night.

The Old Globe today announced it will open its 2015-2016 Season with In Your Arms, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). Co-conceived by Gattelli and Jennifer Manocherian, In Your Arms features 10 dance vignettes written by an incredible and diverse lineup of theatre powerhouses, including Douglas Carter Beane, Nilo Cruz, Christopher Durang, Carrie Fisher, David Henry Hwang, Rajiv Joseph, Terrence McNally, Marsha Norman, Lynn Nottage, and Alfred Uhry. Among them, the creators have amassed 14 Tony Awards, five Pulitzer Prizes, six Pulitzer finalist designations, and one Academy Award.

Dixon Place's new production, THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY, will begin previews Saturday, February 7th, and open on Sunday, February 22nd at 6:00 PM. Based on his best-selling novel, the show features critically acclaimed, Emmy nominated and award-winning storyteller James Lecesne, who portrays the life and characters of a Jersey Shore town where a young boy goes missing. The play is directed by Tony Speciale, with visuals by Matthew Sandager and incidental music by Duncan Sheik, some of which will be released in his new record "Legerdemain" in April 2015. THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY will run through March 28th at Dixon Place (161 Chrystie Street). Amas Musical Theatre and The Amas Musical Theatre Lab will begin the New Year with staged readings for the New York premiere of A Taste of Chocolate, a new musical with book, music and lyrics by Timothy Ware, with additional lyrics and arrangements by Alvin Hough. Directed by Warren Adams, the readings will be held today, January 26th at 2pm & 6pm and tomorrow, January 27th at 2pm at The National Opera Center of America: Audition Recital Hall (330 Seventh Avenue - between 28th & 29thStreets).

The Irish Repertory Theatre, which 'encourages the development of works focusing on the Irish and Irish American experience, as well as a range of other cultures,' continues the 9th season of its Reading Series with Joseph Dougherty's play Chester Bailey, directed by Ron Lagomarsino.
