Yesterday, March 24, Elton John paid tribute to his late friend, Elizabeth Taylor, at his concert in Pittsburgh. Said John during the concert: '[It is] a sad day becuase I lost a friend and you lost a hero....[who] stood up when no one was prepared to stand up and be counted against AIDS. God bless you, Elizabeth. God knows how we're going to replace you. This is for you and your beautiful memory and for all of the people you helped saved.'

The Broadway community mourns the loss of Elizabeth Taylor, legendary stage and screen star, who died yesterday at the age of 79 in Los Angeles. The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York will be dimmed in her memory on Friday, March 25th, at exactly 8:00pm for one minute.

Theatre in the Square's first season included a revival of the 1939 Broadway hit, The Little Foxes. In the theatre's 29th Season, the American classic of greed, deception, corruption and manipulation will once again grace the Main Stage of the converted cotton warehouse that is now Theatre in the Square. Casting has been announced for the Broadway production of The Royal Court Theatre's JERUSALEM, the critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning play by Jez Butterworth and starring Tony and Olivier Award-winner Mark Rylance (La Bête, Boeing-Boeing). The production, directed by Ian Rickson, will open on April 21, 2011 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). Previews begin April 2. The production will play a limited 16-week engagement.
