Cast Announced for Mac Rogers' UNIVERSAL ROBOTS at The Sheen Center, 6/3-26

Gideon Productions will proudly present at The Sheen Center (18 Bleecker Street between Bowery and Lafayette) - UNIVERSAL ROBOTS, a science fiction epic from acclaimed playwright Mac Rogers (The Honeycomb Trilogy; The Message Podcast) inspired by Karel Capek's seminal 1921 play R.U.R. The production, directed byJordana Williams (The Honeycomb Trilogy; Asymmetric at 59E59), will run June 3-26 with performances Thursday through Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 2pm, and Monday at 8pm with additional performances on Wednesday, June 15 & 22 at 8pm. Gideon Productions Receives LIT Fund Grant & NYIT's Donn Russell Fund Grant

Gideon Productions is honored to receive the Donn Russell Fund grant from the New York Innovative Theatre Foundation. This grant money will be used to support their upcoming production of Universal Robots, which will be presented by The Sheen Center in June 2016.

Mac Rogers's New York premiere play "Asymmetric" holds the distinction of being the only live theater thriller this audience member has seen. As staged by director Jordana Williams in the intimate Theater C at 59E59 Theaters, this play about troubled former CIA agent Josh Ruskin and his duplicitous ex-wife Sunny Black will leave audience members on the edge of their seats. Though lacking in emotional resonance, the production benefits from having an original theatrical concept backed by strong acting.

59E59 Theaters will host the New York premiere of ASYMMETRIC, written by Mac Rogers and directed by Jordana Williams. Produced by Ground UP Productions in association with Gideon Productions, ASYMMETRIC begins performances on Friday, November 14 for a limited engagement through Saturday, December 6. Press opening is Wednesday, November 19 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday at 8:30PM; Saturday at 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM. Gideon Productions will present the stage adaption of Anthony Del Col and Conor McCreery's graphic novel KILL SHAKESPEARE for a limited engagement, March 1-5 at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue). The production will be directed by Jordana Williams and will feature Becky Byers* (Blast Radius), Neimah Djourabchi* (The Inexplicable Redemption of Agent G), Abe Goldfarb* (I Hope They Serve Beer on Broadway), Stephen Heskett (BrainExplode!), Daryl Lathon* (Sovereign), Kelley Rae O'Donnell* (Clown Bar), Mac Rogers (Ligature Marks), Brian Silliman* (The Particulars), and Sean Williams (Advance Man).
