Bard On The Beach Shakespeare Festival Announces Its 2020 Season Lineup

While the 30th season of Bard on the Beach continues until September 21, Artistic Director Christopher Gaze has just announced the lineup for the Festival's 31st Season, which will run from June 11 to September 26, 2020. It includes the most popular play in Bard's history, plus a thrilling historical drama, a music-filled Jazz Age romance and a provocative contemporary play based on Milton's Paradise Lost.
THE 39 STEPS Comes to Gloucester Stage

Gloucester Stage Company continues its 40th Anniversary Season of professional theater with Patrick Barlow's witty mystery play The 39 Steps from July 5 through July 28 at Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. This award winning comic thriller adapted for the stage by Patrick Barlow, from the 1915 novel by John Buchan and from the 1935 movie by Alfred Hitchcock, premiered on Broadway in 2008. The 39 Steps has played in over forty countries world-wide, winning Olivier (United Kingdom); Helpmann (Austraila); Moliere (France) and Tony Awards. The play garnered the 2007 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy; the 2008 Tony Awards for Best Lighting Design and Best Sound Design; the 2008 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience; the 2009 Helpmann Award for Best Regional Touring Production; and the 2009 Moliere Award for Best Comedy.
Infinitheatre Presents THE PIPELINE

Every year Infinitheatre proudly presents Quebec's newest discoveries in The Pipeline, an annual series of free public play readings where the audience takes centre stage, offering valuable feedback that furthers script development and helps choose future seasons. Guy Sprung, Infinitheatre's artistic director, invites the public to be part of the excitement and share their views from Friday, November 30 - Sunday, December 2 at Espace Knox. The Pipeline is three plays in three days-including The Kevin, first place winner from Infinitheatre's annual Write-On-Q! script writing competition, boasting the largest English literary prize in Quebec. The playwrights will be in attendance.
