MTV Kicks Off '2011 MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week' 5/30

The summer box-office has started to simmer, but MTV will bring it to a full sizzle with a week-long of exclusives from some of summer's hottest films during the '2011 MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week.' Beginning, Monday, May 30th through Friday, June 3rd, MTV and marquee talent from each film, including Emma Stone, Bryce Dallas Howard, Aziz Ansari, Emma Roberts, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Michael Angarano and more will introduce a new exclusive clip at 11pm ET/PT on-air.

Quad Cinema Hosts Screening of MASTER HAROLD Film, 5/4

'MASTER HAROLD'... AND THE BOYS, a new film based on the award-winning Broadway play by Athol Fugard, starring Freddie Highmore (Finding Neverland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction) and directed by Lonny Price (New York Philharmonic's Company with Neil Patrick Harris and Stephen Colbert, Emmy Award winning director of Sweeney Todd), will host a screening at the Quad Cinema (34 W. 13th Street) at 6 PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, as part of the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. Neil Patrick Harris Joins New York Philharmonic for COMPANY Concert, 4/7-4/9

The New York Philharmonic will present Stephen Sondheim's groundbreaking Company, with an all-star cast led by Neil Patrick Harris, star of the hit television series, How I Met Your Mother, on April 7-9, 2011. The award-winning musical will be produced and directed by Lonny Price, who directed and co-produced last season's SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert!, and will be conducted by Sondheim specialist Paul Gemignani, with the original orchestrations for a 35-piece orchestra by Jonathan Tunick. More details will be announced at a later date.

The New York Philharmonic will present SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert on March 15 and Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. This celebration of the 80th birthday of the great Broadway and film composer/lyricist will include his most enduring orchestral music and songs - performed, in some cases, by the stars of the original Broadway cast productions - in addition to rarely-heard material. Joining the celebration will be (in alphabetical order) Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark, Jason Danieley, Nathan Gunn, George Hearn, Patti LuPone, Marin Mazzie, Audra McDonald, Donna Murphy, Mandy Patinkin, Bernadette Peters, and others to be announced, including surprise guests. Paul Gemignani, Mr. Sondheim's longtime collaborator, will conduct the New York Philharmonic; Lonny Price is the director; and Mr. Price and Matt Cowart are the producers.

'Sweeney Todd' & 'Hairspray' Earn 5 Critics' Choice Nominations

The nominees for the 13th Annual Critics' Choice Awards were announced Tuesday, December 11 by the Broadcast Film Critics Association. Honoring the finest in cinematic achievement, the winners of the Critics' Choice Awards will be broadcast live on VH1 from the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on Monday, January 7, 2008.
