After taking out the award for best music show at this year's Perth Fringe World Festival, local 60s Soul band Stratosfunk revive their award winning show Tell Mama: The Music of Etta James, back for one night only at Fremantle's Fly By Night Musicians Club tonight, 31 August from 7.30pm.

'Here Comes The Night' will provide a rare opportunity for the many fans of Van Morrison's music to enjoy the magic of his remarkable body of work as performed by the exceptional talents of Joe Camilleri, Vince Jones and Vika Bull at the Palais Theatre on Friday, November 29.

A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN, the new musical, just announced casting for the upcoming Broadway production opening at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street).

Curtains up! AIR TWYLA propels Pacific Northwest Ballet into its new season with a trio of works by its first artist-in-residence, renowned choreographer Twyla Tharp. 'Here Comes The Night' will provide a rare opportunity for the many fans of Van Morrison's music to enjoy the magic of his remarkable body of work as performed by the exceptional talents of Joe Camilleri, Vince Jones and Vika Bull at the Palais Theatre on Friday November 29.

Vika Bull and a seven piece group, The Essential R&B Band, present a musical documentary of the life of the late Etta James, one of the most important names in Rhythm and Blues, and perhaps also the most tragic.

August's Live at The Hippodrome programme features a broad selection of music, comedy, cabaret and more including hip US singer and inimitable interpreter of the Great American Songbook James Torme; soulful jazz and blues diva Gill Manly; and an evening with Joe Longthorne, who will be returning to the venue following his sold-out performances earlier in the year.

Written by critically acclaimed UK author John Livings, At Last: The Etta James Story premiered at Melbourne's Athenaeum Theatre on 19 February 2013 (just over a year after Etta James' death in January 2012), and enjoyed a sell-out Sydney season in May. The show will play at the Her Majesty's Theatre Adelaide, for three performances today and tomorrow, 2 and 3 August 2013 following a season in Brisbane. Tickets go on sale through BASS outlets from Monday 11 June.?

Julia Goodwin is the 2013 winner of the Great American Songbook Vocal Academy and Competition. The 15-year-old is from Baldwinsville, New York.
