Former Jersey Boys star Erich Bergen will co-star with Amber Stevens, Craig Horner, Brooklyn Sudano, and Scott Wolf in the CW pilot Joey Dakota, about a documentarian who falls in love with a rock star. Bergen played Four Seasons member Bob Gaudio in the first national tour and Las Vegas companies of the Broadway smash Jersey Boys. In Los Angeles, he has appeared in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum for Reprise, Venice for Center Theatre Group, and A Snow White Christmas for Lythgoe Family Productions. Previous television credits include, Gossip Girl, Desperate Housewives, Person of Interest, and Franklin & Bash. Bergen's debut CD, The Las Vegas Sessions, was released in October, 2010.

ArtsRanch, Performing Arts Training Center in Northern California (www.artsranch.com) has announced a three-week summer camp in July 2010 at the Coloma Resort. Founded in 2009 by Jacob Brent, (Mr. Mistoffelees in CATS - Broadway, London and film), who also serves as Artistic Director, ArtsRanch features Broadway performers as guest teaching artists, all of whom are dedicated to training and nurturing young talent and developing the performing artists of the future.

At Jim Caruso's Cast Party at Birdland on Monday night, there was an on-and-off-stage celebration for the late, great Kay Thompson's 100th birthday. The event was built around a new 3-CD box set collection called "Think Pink! A Kay Thompson Party." Friends and fans of the former MGM vocal coach/nightclub singer/"Eloise" author gathered to sing her songs and praises at the weekly open mic.

It has finally happened. A hit Broadway musical - a Tony® Award-winner - has arrived in Las Vegas and it is the closest thing to both a Broadway experience and a genuine hit Broadway show this city has ever seen. Yes, we have a terrific Spamalot (or, we do until it closes in July), a breathtaking Phantom and Mamma Mia! just celebrated a record five-year run here. But none of them quite manages to do what Jersey Boys does. Spamalot is funny and true to the spirit of the original, but it runs a mere 90 minutes.
