Ghostlight Records releases the physical edition of Original Broadway Cast Album of the new musical comedy Something Rotten!, today, July 17, in stores and online.

The company of Broadway's SOMETHING ROTTEN! will soon head to Barnes & Noble.

Thespian Festival 2015 presents the opening show The Music of Menken: Audrey, Ariel, Aladdin…and Alan! An Evening with Alan Menken, a tribute to one of the most celebrated composers of stage and screen. The Music of Menken will take place Monday, June 22, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Lied Center for Performing Arts.

Ghostlight Records just announced that the Original Broadway Cast Album for Something Rotten!, the new musical comedy nominated for 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical, hit #1 on the Billboard Top Broadway chart its first week in digital release. The album also debuted on the Billboard Top 200 chart at #94, the Billboard Top Current Albums chart at #45, and the Billboard Overall Digital Albums chart at #22. This marks the strongest overall cast album debut since June 2014, and the third-strongest sales week of any cast recording in five years. Something Rotten! is officially available now on iTunes here and other digital formats with a 36-page booklet. The disc will be available in stores and online July 17. The album is produced by Kurt Deutsch, Wayne Kirkpatrick, Karey Kirkpatrick and Kevin McCollum. It is co-produced by Lawrence Manchesterand Phil Reno. Disney's Aladdin, the Tony Award-winning new musical comedy based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, is pleased to announce that original stars Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), Tony Award nominee Jonathan Freeman (Jafar), Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart (Genie) and Courtney Reed (Jasmine) have extended their contracts with the production through February 21, 2016. The four actors have led the 'sublime' (NY1) Aladdin company since its pilot production at Seattle's Fifth Avenue Theatre in the summer of 2011 and garnered critical acclaim when the Broadway production opened on March 20, 2014.
