Broadway veterans and theater stars abounded in this year's esteemed list of nominations. In film, the category of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Lead Role included Bryan Cranston for TRUMBO, Michael Fassbender for STEVE JOBS and Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne for THE DANISH GIRL.

HBO took to Twitter yesterday to unveil a new promo for its 2016 slate of new and returning series, films and specials. Among them were the TV adaptation of Broadway's ALL THE WAY, starring Bryan Cranston, Audra McDonald in a special presentation of LADY DAY AT EMERSON'S BAR & GRILL, the upcoming LOOKING film with Jonathan Groff, the new series VINYL with stage and screen star Bobby Cannavale and more. Asolo Rep Proudly to Stage ALL THE WAY

Asolo Repertory Theatre proudly kicks off its winter repertory season with the 2014 Tony Award winner for Best Play, Pulitzer Prize-winner Robert Schenkkan's political drama ALL THE WAY. Asolo Rep's production will be directed by Emily Sophia Knapp, who served as the associate director of the Broadway, American Repertory Theatre, Seattle Rep and world premiere Oregon Shakespeare Festival productions. Hailed by NPR as a 'sensational night of theatre,' previews for ALL THE WAY are January 6 and 7 at 8pm, opening night is January 8 at 8pm, and the production runs in rotating rep through Saturday, April 9.
BWW Review: TRUMBO Is Solid, But Bryan Cranston is Brilliant

Dalton Trumbo is the writer of such films as SPARTACUS, ROMAN HOLIDAY, and EXODUS. All are films that, if HUAC and Hedda Hopper and the Motion Picture Alliance had their way during a dark chapter of American history, he'd either never have written or never received credit for writing. Trumbo's is a story worth telling, and a movie certainly worth watching.
