Bailiwick Chicago Theater will launch its 2012/13 season with the rock musical BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON with music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, book by Alex Timbers, directed by Scott Ferguson, music direction by James Morehead* and choreography by Christopher Pazdernik*, playing October 4 - November 10, 2012 at National Pastime Theater, 941 W. Lawrence Ave. in Chicago. Tickets are available at bailiwickchicago.com. All performances are BYOB, with the house opening one hour prior to curtain. The press performances are Monday, October 8 at 7:30 pm & Thursday, October 11 at 8 pm.

Lookingglass Theatre Company will open its 25th Anniversary Season with Metamorphoses, based on the Myths of Ovid, written and directed by Lookingglass Ensemble Member Mary Zimmerman. The show will play tonight, September 19 - September 28, 2012. The return of Lookingglass' seminal production, coinciding with the 10th Anniversary of the Broadway run, will open at Lookingglass in the fall of 2012 and will then move to Washington D.C.'s Arena Stage.

Host Eden Lane kicks of the fifth season of IN FOCUS with a behind-the-scenes look at the Colorado premiere of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON. The production has been postponed due to a tragic accident on opening night involving the lead/ producer/ director Ben Dicke.

The plot revolves around a pompous head of household taken in by a cunning charlatan, under the religious cloak of piety. Tartuffe seeks to marry his benefactor's daughter, seduce his wife and gain the family fortune. Moliere gives us a farce with a scathing wit as he roasts religion, hypocrisy and sexual deceit.

The New Group will present the first production in its 2012-2013 season, the world premiere of The Good Mother, a new play by Francine Volpe. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production features Darren Goldstein, Gretchen Mol, Alfredo Narciso, Eric Nelsen and Bill Sage. Previews begin October 29 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Thursday, November 15 at 7:00pm. A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through December 22 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (The Acorn Theatre / 410 West 42nd Street / Acorn Theatre).

Returning home for its first local Seattle production, the Tony Award-winning rock musical Next to Normal will be co-produced in February 2013 by award-winning companies Balagan Theatre and Contemporary Classics.
