Mystery Writers of America's Florida Chapter is pleased to announce dates for SleuthFest 2018 Writers Conference. SleuthFest will take place March 1-4, 2018 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Boca Raton, Florida.

It was the movie with the iconic scene that molded romance at a pottery wheel to the strains of Unchained Melody, and made the word ditto synonymous with I love you. Ghost, the famous film released in 1990, has inspired a Broadway adaptation and it's on stage this fall for the first time at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre.

Selected through a competitive, two-phased process by a panel of performing arts professionals from 29 nominated artists, the recipients are composer James Mobberley and playwright/director Kyle Hatley. A public performance of the work of this year's Generative Performing Awards Fellows is planned for fall, 2011.

Selected through a competitive, two-phased process by a panel of area performing arts professionals, the recipients are composer/musician Brad Cox and cross-disciplinary director/writer/performer Stephanie Roberts.

Rehearsals are underway for Ensemble Theatre Company's new production of the 1989 Tony Award-nominated musical Starmites. With music and lyrics by Barry Keating and book by Stuart Ross and Keating, Starmites will be directed and choreographed by Steve Edlund (with co-choreographer Lili Fuller).

The Conference will feature two weeks of intensive work on six works-in-progress by Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig (410 [Gone]); Mary Hamilton (We Three); Michael Hollinger (Ghost-Writer); Arden Kass (Appetite); John Orlock (The Specificity of Paradise); and J.T. Rogers (Blood and Gifts).
