Announcing Open Call Auditions for the original Musical "Rip Van Winkle." This is the Classic American legend, based on the Short Story by Washington Irving. Rip gets thrown out of his house by his wife. He flees to the Catskill Mountains. There he meets the Great Explorer Henry Hudson and his Pirate Crew. He drinks a special Brew and falls asleep. Years later, he wakes up and returns home to find everything has changed. It is a Non-Union Showcase for all Ethnicities. Auditions will be conducted at: Studios 150, in Midtown Manhattan. The address is 150 West 46 Street, on the following Dates:

Auditions:
Tuesday, September 1, from 11 AM to 2 PM.
Wednesday, September 2, 12 Noon to 3 PM..
Thursday, September 3, 12 Noon to 3 PM.
Rehearsals commence Tuesday, September 8, 2015, with a Performance scheduled for September 27, in a Manhattan Theater Venue, to be determined. Please bring a Headshot and Resume to the Auditions. Please bring a prepared Song or Two, and please bring a Prepared Monologue. An accompanist will be provided. There will be a paid Stipend of $200(Two Hundred Dollars), for the run.
Cast Breakdown:
Rip Van Winkle: 22-35 years old. A scalliwag, a pioneer, the authentic American, handsome, full of good humor, and undaunted. Always a joke to tell, a kind word, and a smile. Irrepressible. Can also play guitar.
Dame Van Winkle: 22-35 years old. Her name is Gretchen. Rip's wife. The lady of the House. Gentle, Graceful, Firm, Responsible. She is in her prime.
Derrick: 22-35 years old. Actor of Color. Rip's oldest friend, and rival. An aristocrat. Owns the Tavern, and just about everything else in town. Believes Rip's wife married beneath herself.
Herman: 18-25 years old. Derrick's son. Actor of Color. Thinks he's the best catch in the Village. Headed for New York City to make his fortune.
Alice: 18-25 years old. Rip's daughter. Beautiful and smart. The loveliest and most desirable girl in town.
Knickerbocker: 18-25 years old. The Schoolteacher, and suitor to Alice. Sharp with his wit, and his sword, if necessary.
Henry Hudson: 30-50 years old. The Great Explorer. Captain of his Pirate Crew. Still seeking adventure.
