SINGING IN THE RAIN JR. - Alaska Theatre Youth
Singing in the Rain Jr. auditions are almost here!

It's audition time!

Singin' in the Rain Jr. has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline – the starlet, the leading man and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item, but behind the scenes, things aren't always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina's squeaky voice might be the end of her career in talking pictures without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.

Auditions are Wed., Nov. 30, from 6-9 p.m. at Aquarian Charter School. Please come prepared with 8-16 bars of music (about a minute) to sing, preferably from a Broadway musical (Disney movies work great too!). Sheet music is preferred, but a capella or an accompaniment CD is also acceptable. Auditioners should also come prepared to dance and read from the script. All auditioners welcome between the ages of 5 and 18.

Singing in the Rain Jr. performances run February 10-12 at APU Grant Hall. Rehearsals will begin in early January.
