Pinkalicious- The Musical - Performing Arts Programs Touring Theater
Performing Arts Programs, Inc. in association with Lamb Theatricals LLC is holding auditions for its Performing Arts Programs Touring Theater. Our 2015-2016 touring production will be Pinkalicious – The Musical. Show will open Thursday, March 24th and Saturday, March 26th with touring dates TBD. There is no housing for the tour. The performances will take place within an hour radius of Hartford, CT Auditions will be held on Saturday, December 5th at Performing Arts Programs Studio which is located at 1732 Ellington Road in South Windsor. Audition times are 12pm – 5pm. Please come prepared with 32 bars of a ballad and/or up-tempo song with sheet music in appropriate key and a 1-2 minute monologue. Songs from the show are acceptable. Also bring a headshot/resume for the producer. Looking for Actor/Singers-Singer/Actors who can move well. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with Pinkititus, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe - a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this predicament. Character Descriptions: **Everyone except Pinkalicious will ALSO play an assortment of Bees, Birds and Butterflies. PINKALICIOUS: Female, 18 – 25, to play young girl. Alto/Mezzo with Belt Capabilities. Precocious, joyful, obsessed with PINK. She learns that more is not what is always better, learns self control, and of course, learns the power of pink! PETER: Male, 18 – 25, to play young boy. Tenor. Pinkalicious’s younger brother. He secretly desires to enjoy pink like his sister and to express himself creatively. He helps his sister get over her pinkness and earns the right to express himself freely. MRS. PINKERTON: 30 – 50s. Alto/Mezzo. Pink’s Mom. She is always busy, but learns to be less rigid and to find her inner girl. MR. PINKERTON: 30 – 50s. Baritone. Pink’s Dad. Starts off a bit closed minded and strict, but learns to become less so. ALISON: 18 – 25, to play young girl. Mezzo/Soprano. Pinkalicious’s best friend. She learns to not be jealous and that the grass is not always greener. DOUBLES as DR WINK DR. WINK: Female. Mezzo/Soprano. A Pediatrician – diagnoses “Pinkititus” and tells Pinkalicious to eat green food to stop being pink. DOUBLE as ALISON. BIRDS, BEES, BUTTERFLIES: Appear in several dream sequences and other moments during the show. DOUBLES as PETER, MRS. PINKERTON, MR. PINKERTON.
