Seeking Actors: Committed and enthusiastic adult and youth (ages 9 +) actors of all experience levels, who enjoy collaborative theater and creating in the moment. Ideal actors have improvisational experience and are comfortable interacting face-to-face with the audience.

Prepare: One minute monologue of choice; comedic or dramatic, contemporary or classical

Premise: Set at the 20th High School Class Reunion of Sprague High School (SHS) in Cranston, Rhode Island for reconnecting with former friends (and enemies) and reminiscing about the good (and bad) times. Anything is possible with an open bar, live music, karaoke, and “Sprague Spirit Awards.” The night begins in laughter but soon turns deadly when the bitter backstabbing, gossiping, and rumors start flying, and one of the guests is found assuming room temperature. Search the building for clues and question the suspects to solve the crime before the police arrive on the scene.
About the Production: Script is all original and largely improvisational. Characters are big and bold; storyline is fast-paced; and clues and investigation are well thought-out and audience participatory. The show is ensemble-oriented and some of the script will be developed throughout the rehearsal process in a safe, fun, and professional environment. Patrons and actors will mingle throughout Artists’ Exchange as part of the show.
Performances run March 25 & 26 and April 1 & 2, with shows on Fridays at 7pm only and on Saturdays at 3pm and 7pm. Venue is Artists’ Exchange (50 Rolfe Square, Cranston, RI 02910) and will take place throughout the entire building. Five-week rehearsal period from February 15-March 19 with tech rehearsals March 20-24.
