HAMPTON THEATRE COMPANY HOLDS AUDITIONS FOR “HEROES”

The Hampton Theatre Company will hold open auditions for two of the three roles in “Heroes, Tom Stoppard's translation of the Gérald Sibleyras play about three World War I veterans, close friends whose comical banter helps them pass the time at a military hospital while they fantasize about their future and regaining their freedom.

Auditions will be held on Sunday and Monday, November 3 and 4, from 6-8 p.m. at the Quogue Community Hall, 125 Jessup Avenue in Quogue. Both union and non-union actors are invited to attend.

The role of GUSTAVE has been cast. Available roles are: HENRI (50s+), a proud man who refuses to allow his injured leg to dampen his spirits; PHILIPPE (50s+), slightly off-base and prone to passing out unexpectedly due to a piece of shrapnel lodged in his brain.

?Rehearsals for “Heroes begin in the first week of December, with performances running from January 9 through 26 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons at the Quogue Community Hall. Andrew Botsford directs.

Readings will be from the script. No monologue or appointment is necessary.

Anyone unable to attend the scheduled audition times, but who would like to read, should contact the company and an alternate time may be arranged if possible. Local housing is available for out-of-town actors. Special Appearance contract for Equity actors, if applicable.
