HAMPTON THEATRE COMPANY HOLDS AUDITIONS FOR “THE DRAWER BOY”
The Hampton Theatre Company will hold open auditions for “The Drawer Boy," Canadian playwright Michael Healey's fascinating and poignant play about a pair of Canadian farmers whose long buried secrets come to light when a young actor pays them a visit.
Auditions are Sunday and Monday, January 20 and 21, from 6-8 p.m. at the Quogue Community Hall on Jessup Avenue in Quogue. "The Drawer Boy" contains roles for 3 men. Both union and non-union actors are invited to attend.
HTC is seeking actors for the roles of: MORGAN (50s), a hard-working and stoic farmer and WWII veteran who is very protective of his friend Angus and has buried painful memories of his past; ANGUS (50s), Morgan's large and simple friend who was wounded in WWII and has lost large parts of his memory; MILES (20s), a young and innocent actor.

Rehearsals for “The Drawer Boy" begin in mid-February, with performances running from March 21 through April 7, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons, at the Quogue Community Hall. Sarah Hunnewell directs.
