Ever wanted to be in a show, but were intimidated by auditioning? It's ok, auditioning can be scary, especially if you've not done it before.
That's why ATY is pleased to announce its first ever Experience Audition! for ages 8-18. What's that? You wanna know how it works? I'm glad you asked.
We simulate the full experience of auditioning, but without the pressure of competing for roles in a show. We also have a panel of experts who will provide constructive criticism, both oral and written, about how you can improve your auditioning technique.
In this audition, we encourage you to prepare:
1. A memorized (or close to memorized) 1 minute monologue
2. 8-16 bars of a song, ideally from a musical (Disney songs work great too!), preferably with sheet music or accompaniment CD.
We will also have
1. Readings for you from a script.
2. a short dance for you to learn.
This event is PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN! While we are always grateful to accept donations, we are more interested in making sure you really have auditions down!
