Water Works Theatre Company will be holding auditions for its 2013 Shakespeare In The Park productions of William Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor and Much Ado About Nothing March 10-11 at the Royal Oak First United Methodist Church. Performances will take place outdoors in Starr Jaycee Park (1101 W 13 Mile Road) August 1-11, 2013.
Auditions will be held Sunday, March 10 from 3:00 - 7:00pm and Monday, March 11 from 4:00 - 10:00pm at the Royal Oak First United Methodist Church, 320 W Seventh St, Royal Oak MI 48067. Call backs will be held at the same location on Monday, March 18.
Actors planning to audition should prepare two Shakespeare monologues, one comedic, no longer than 2 minutes each and be prepared to work them in different ways. All roles are open to Equity and non-Equity actors. Equity actors will work under a special appearance agreement. Non-Equity actors will be paid a small stipend.

Rehearsals for all shows will begin after July 4. The Merry Wives of Windsor will be directed by Paul Hopper and will be performed in Royal Oak's Starr Jaycee Park Thursday - Sunday August 1-11. Much Ado About Nothing will be directed by Barton Bund and presented as Water Works' daylight family show Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and weekend afternoons August 3-11. |
