GWEN:
Female, Caucasian, late 30's to mid 40's. Attractive and a little wild, she is a recovering alcoholic in a new marriage trying to straighten up and fly right. She loves her new life but misses her earlier spontaneity, her drinking and the unencumbered life. Loves her daughter, who is 20 years old, but due to her own self-involvement lost track of her a few years ago. She is struggling always to do the right thing, and then gets fed up with doing so. Bright, lively. Has a sense of great wit being somehow stifled.
TOMMY:
Male, Caucasian, late 30’s to mid 40’s. A teenage boy trapped in the body of a man in his late 30's to mid 40's . Married young to his high school sweetheart he has a big heart and feels everything deeply - probably too deeply. Never really figured out how to cover up and join the mainstream. Never judges others, simply enjoys people and wonders sometimes why it has all turned out so oddly for him - why he does not have regular jobs or a real life. He is an alcoholic who allows his darkness and grief to come out when he drinks. The guy at the party you cannot resist talking to, but often ends up alone at the end of the night due to his own griefs. Very sexy, wild.
