SYNOPSIS: Doors slam, sardines fly, and trousers drop in Michael Frayn’s side-splitting British farce about a theater company desperately trying to get their act together. Both onstage and backstage, chaos reigns for a troupe of floundering actors whose forgotten lines, misplaced props, and steamy romantic entanglements make it nearly impossible for the show to go on. An uproarious love letter to the theater, Noises Off is a peek behind the curtain—where everything that can go wrong, does!

SEEKING:

Dotty Otley/Mrs. Clackett: (This principal role has been cast) Female-identifying, any ethnicity, 50s-60s, British. Theater actress, who has been playing old women for the majority of her career. Forgetful, often losing things. Cannot see without her contacts. Currently sleeping with Lloyd Dallas, the director. In Nothing On, Brooke plays Vicki, an Englishwoman, who secretly works for the tax authority, and is trying to woo Roger.

Garry Lejeune/Roger Tramplemain: Male, any ethnicity, 30s-40s. Professional and easily fired up. Tries to keep the show going. Acts as if he is the show’s lead. Prone to jealousy. Vague. Rarely finishes his sentences. Currently engaged in an affair with his much older castmate, Dotty. In Nothing On, he plays Roger Tramplemain, an English real estate agent who is attempting to rent the house to a Sheikh as well as use it as a place to secretly cavort with Vicki.
