Tony award winner Billy Porter is gearing up for the April 15th release of Billy's Back on Broadway, produced by Rob Mounsey, which features Broadway classics with a new twist and special guest Cyndi Lauper. It's been almost a decade since the Pittsburgh-born Billy Porter released a solo album, and since then much has changed for the award-winning artist, who grew up singing in the Pentecostal church. Perhaps best known for his Tony Award-winning role as 'Lola' in the hit Broadway musical Kinky Boots, Porter's musical background is based in gospel, soul and R&B. He released his first solo album, Untitled, on A&M Records, and a second album, At the Corner of Broadway + Soul, on Sh-K-Boom Records.

42West's Producing Artistic Director, Jacob Langfelder has produced and programmed for multi-platform performance spaces such as BangOn! and 54 Below. He launched the Live From Gramercy Park Series at The Player's Club featuring sold-out performances by Euan Morton. Other sold out productions include Matt Alber at Boutique Eat Shop. Alongside Lance Horne, Langfelder produced events featuring artists such as Cristin Milioti, Elizabeth A. Davis, David Abeles, Will Connolly, Constantine Maroulis, Bridget Everett, Molly Pope, Tori Scott, Tyler Maynard, Slanty Eyed Mama, Amy G., Noah Stewart, Natalie Joy Johnson, Lauren Elder, Scott Thompson, Varsity Interpretive Dance Squad, House of Yes, and Cole Escola. This spring, he is producing the debut EP of the trio FAIRPLAY (David Abeles, Elizabeth Davis, and Will Connolly of Broadway's ONCE.)

As part of this Friday's launch, early arrivals will gain unprecedented access to The Lady Gaga Gallery, presented by 42West. The gallery features costumes, props, art and more from the Multi-platinum and Grammy Award-winning artist's latest video, G.U.Y. at THE OUT NYC (510 W. 42nd Street), which has officially been transformed into The G.U.Y.
