Arizona Opera to Welcome Nathan Gunn, 10/2

Arizona Opera announces world renowned super-star baritone Nathan Gunn will serve as Honorary Guest Host at a party to celebrate the kick off of the company's 2014-15 Season. The event will be held at the downtown Opera Center on October 2, 2014 at 6 pm.

Mr. Gunn is a frequent artist at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, the Royal Opera House in London and the Lyric Opera of Chicago and is considered one of the most exciting and in-demand baritones today.

The evening's entertainment also features performances from Mariachi Valle Del Sol in anticipation of the Arizona Opera's first mariachi opera, Cruzar la Cara de la Luna, jazz band The Swingtips, and the artists of the Marion Roose Pullin Opera Studio. Rounding out the evening will be Special Musical Guest, soprano Susannah Biller, who will be previewing her role as Marie in The Daughter of the Regiment, the final production of the Arizona Opera's 2014-15 Season.

A limited number of $75 tickets for the Arizona Opera Season Kick-off are available by calling 602-266-7464. Ticket includes wine and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Those who sponsor the evening with a donation of $1000 or more will be invited to a private cocktail hour with Mr. Gunn, Ms. Biller, and other premier hosts.
